What is an NFT?

An NFT stands for “Non-fungible token” and is a fancy way of saying it’s a unique, one-of-a-kind digital item that users can buy, own, and trade. Some NFTs’ main functions are to be digital art and look cool, and some offer additional utility. Think of ours like a rare piece of art that demonstrates your support for diversity and inclusion in the tech community, while also providing access to virtual events for holders.

What’s a wallet? How do I get one?

Your crypto wallet is where you can view your cryptocurrency assets and transactions, all in one place. It’s also where you confirm any transactions in process. Different wallets have different features. For example, some allow you to view NFTs from a smartphone. Popular wallets include Coinbase and Metamask. You can purchase Ethereum on all the major exchanges, including Coinbase, Gemini, Coinlist, and Binance.

What is minting?

NFTs are created through a process called minting. On the Ethereum network, a command is run that creates the NFT as an immutable record, providing it with a unique hash that contains all of the metadata. The metadata stores key contextual information about your NFT, like its current ownership and transaction history. Sites including opensea.io and etherscan.io allow you to view your NFT collection and NFTs in other collections.

What is gas or minting fees?

The blockchain depends on processing power provided by a decentralized network of computers. Minting fees, often called “gas fees,” are what the members of this network earn in return for the processing power they provide. Gas fees can fluctuate according to the amount of traffic on the blockchain at any given moment but cannot be avoided.

When can I mint?

Pre-sale begins on March 28th at 12 PM ET, and will last 48 hours.
Public sale begins on March 30th at 12 PM ET, and will last 24 hours.

How much will they cost?

Pre-sale will cost 0.04 + Gas.
Public sale will cost 0.06 + Gas.

What is the supply of the collection?

This is a limited supply of 4,000 NFTs to commemorate the 4,000 member milestone of our global community. Please note that this is divided up between our 13 artists so that each artist will have 307 NFTs of their artwork above available in the collection.

How many NFTs are available to mint?

Out of a 4,000 collection, 3,844 will be available to mint. We’re keeping 156 NFTs for community giveaways, partnerships, and member airdrops.

Is there a limit on how many we can mint?

Each wallet can mint a maximum of 10 NFTs. There will be a special utility airdrop to wallets that own the entire collection.

How do I know what NFT I am getting?

The NFTs are assigned a random draw, so you have an equal chance of getting one from all 13 artists.

How will the money be spent?

34% - Women in VC to scale operations and team
20% - Scholarships to accelerate career progression and growth of Women in VC members
10% - Charitable donations to Women Employed & Girls Inc, non-profits that support confidence and financial literacy for women. These charities were voted on by our global community.

What are the benefits to holders?

Virtual networking events with Women in VC members, NFT holders will gain access to educational webinars and office hours about fundraising, venture capital, and business strategy.
